Six From NACC Earn USTFCCCA All-Region Honors


NEW ORLEANS --- Six Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) indoor track & field student-athletes representing two schools have earned a total of seven all-region honors from the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).

Benedictine University was represented by four individuals receiving five honors - DeVonte Wilson and Calvin Jordan in the 60-meter dash, Marcos Garcia in the 3,000-meter run, and DJ Anderson in both the 400-meter dash and the triple jump.

Aurora University throwers accounted for the two remaining honors as Jocelyn Ocon was recognized in the weight throw and Ryan Njegovan received recognition in the shot put.

The top-5 individuals in each event from each region earned All-Region distinction, in addition to each member of the region’s top-3 relay teams. The regions used for this award – Atlantic, Central, Great Lakes, Mideast, Midwest, New England, South/Southeast and West – match those used during the cross country season.
