Edgewood's Chad Stivers has been named the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Men's Soccer Student-Athlete of the Week for events of Oct. 28-Nov. 3, as selected by the league's sports information directors.
In just his fourth start of the year, Stivers (Lakeville, Minn.) shut down one of the NACC's most potent offenses, Aurora. The sophomore goalkeeper snagged 10 saves in a 1-1 tie and then added three stuffs in the shootout, sending the Eagles (10-6-3, 5-4-1 NACC) to the semifinal round of the NACC Tournament with the upset. Earlier in the week, Stivers played the second half against Concordia Wisconsin, tallying two saves without allowing a goal.
